3rd annual Easter Extravaganza at Anytime Towing Saturday

Anytime towing in Sault Ste. Marie is holding their 3rd annual Easter Extravaganza Saturday, March 16th and organizers say it will be bigger and better than the previous two.

It will be held at Anytime Towing located at 1111 Easterday Avenue just west of the I-75 interchange from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Mike Piche, owner of Anytime Towing, and his sister, Ann McKenzie have spent weeks putting the final touches on the event.

There will be cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, hot dogs, an Easter egg hunt, an Easter basket raffle and a bike raffle among other items. Bring your camera to take a picture with the Easter Bunny!

In addition, Sterling The Pony will be available for rides by donation. All proceeds will help fund next year's event. McKenzie welcomes everyone to the free event.

"The event is great for the community. It is something the whole family can get together and do. It's a chance for kids to meet other kids and moms and dads can meet other parents, too. We just don't have much in this town for families to get together and do," McKenzie said.

Anytime Towing has done many events over the years to support and give back to, the community. It is Piche's way of "paying it forward."

"When we were younger, Ann and I weren't able to go out and do many things. Our family just didn't have the money. Our holidays were pretty limited in the amount of presents we got. Our parents did the best they could. We feel this will help out all families," Piche said.

Piche just wants everyone to have a good time.

"Seeing all the smiling faces on the children is priceless. That is our #1 goal. We know our parents in heaven would be so happy that we have continued this event," Piche continued.

McKenzie also appreciates those in the community who have helped by donating items and time for the event. "I am really happy with what people have dropped off. I am excited that we are keeping this going every year and I hope we can get more people to donate in coming years. It would help out a lot," McKenzie said.
