arlington, Texas — A 44-year-old man has died a little over a week after he was hit by a Toyota Sequoia in Arlington, police say.
The crash happened in the 1400 block of N. Cooper Street about 5:30 a.m. March 26.
Investigators believe the man stepped into the roadway in front of the Sequoia that was traveling northbound on Cooper Street and was hit, police say.
The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead this week, according to police. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the man once next of kin is notified.
The driver of the Sequoia stopped, remained at the scene, and was cooperative with investigators, police say, and is not facing charges in connection with the crash.
It’s unclear why the man stopped on the roadway.
