Unique cocktail and dessert shop Alky Therapy Daiquiris and Desserts recently reopened in downtown dallas after moving from its original location in the Knox-Henderson area.
Alky Therapy offers an extensive list of spiked treats: prescription-themed cocktails, giant cookies, drunken cupcakes, boozy popcorn, Jell-O shot syringes, vodka gummies and more.
The shop is known for its medical-themed menu items, and each drink creation comes with garnishes such as gummies, candies, and fruit that relate to its theme and flavor.
“We try to coordinate the flavor of the candy with the drink,” says owner Katina Gosey. “For example, we top our strawberry lemonade with strawberry-peach gummies.”

Their most popular item, the Bob Marley Daiquiri, is simple but sells more than anything else, Gosey says. The drink is a mixture of vodka, rum and tequila and topped with fresh fruit and gummies.
In addition to its wide range of alcoholic offerings, the shop now has a mocktail bar where customers can get virgin drink options like shimmering lemonades and rainbow punch.
If you’re looking for boozy house-made desserts to munch on, Alky Therapy has 12 flavors of stuffed cookies and 10 flavors of drunken cupcakes, which come with a pipette shot of alcohol, on their menu every day.
Alky’s newest addition, a small bites menu, offers appetizers and elevated nachos.
Gosey works to keep the menu innovative by rotating flavors and themes.
“I take recommendations for new flavors to keep people constantly wanting to come back to try something new,” Gosey says.
Alky Therapy began as a daiquiri drive-through in Shreveport, La., before expanding with a mobile business at festivals and fairs.
Alky Therapy is located at 407 N. Lamar St., Suite 180B, Dallas. alkytherapy.com.
