The most famous pizza taste tester was in dallas recently and had a few local spots. Where should you try in the Big D?
"One bite, everybody knows the rules." A pizza place hearing that can make or break them. Dave has been reviewing pizzas all over the world since 2013. His goal is to find the perfect slice of pizza. So far he has found some suburb pizzas, and has only given out a 10 ONCE. Dave was recently in Dallas for the NBA Finals and hit up two spots while he was in town.
First up was Pizza Leila, about a mile from American Airlines Center in Dallas. I believe Dave was only in town for the day, so he hit up spots as close to the arena as he could. Pizza Leila got an average score of 7.2. From his rankings I have watched, that means pretty good, but not a must try in town.
Dave's only other pizza stop on this trip was Louie's, which was a further trip from American Airlines Center. Just under five miles from the stadium. Louie's specializes in a thin crust tavern style pizza. Dave gave it a 7.6, which once again, means pretty good pizza, but not a must stop place.
This is not the first time that Dave has reviewed other Texas pizza places. He has hit up spots in Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. Watch them below to see who has the best pizza in Texas.
Those are all I could find for Texas. If you want to know where to find the best pizza, check out the full rankings here.
Texas is home to 970 cities, 228 towns, and 23 villages if you can believe it. Some of them are harder to pronounce than others and even some Texans that have lived here their whole lives may be doing some of these wrong. So let's make sure you don't look like an idiot on your next road trip through our great state.
