There’s no doubt summer has officially begun in North Texas.
Temperatures in dallas-Fort Worth are predicted to climb into the high-90s and even top triple digits in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. Lows will hover around the mid-to-high 70s.
Heat index values will reach or exceed 105 every day beginning Sunday through at least Friday, the forecast shows. The heat index value in Dallas could rise to 107, according to KXAS-TV (NBC5).
Conditions will be consistently hot and humid with low storm chances midweek but most areas are likely to stay dry.
Summer heat will be in full swing, an advisory from the weather service said, warning people who are planning to be outside to practice heat safety and stay hydrated.

Both Saturday and Sunday are expected to be sunny with highs reaching nearly 96 and 99 degrees respectively, per the National Weather Service.
As Dallas-Fort Worth sees an upward trend in both afternoon high temperatures and the number of 100-degree days, a weather official estimates the 100-degree day to be in July.
