Dallas firefighters respond to vehicle fire in parking garage | Texas

dallas, Texas — Dallas Fire-Rescue units responded to a vehicle fire early Monday morning at a five-story parking garage on Inwood Road.

At 4:10 a.m., Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) units were assigned to a 911 call for a vehicle fire at 2727 Inwood Road. Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy smoke emanating from the third floor of the structure. Initial reports indicated that between five and six vehicles were on fire inside the garage.

Despite the nature of the fire, DFR chose to continue with a structure fire response due to the number of vehicles involved and the fire being confined within a structure. Approximately 40 firefighters were deployed to mitigate the situation, and the fire was brought under control around 6:00 a.m.

Eight vehicles were burned, and a total of 21 vehicles sustained varying degrees of damage from the associated heat. No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the source.
