AAA activates 'Tow to Go' in Wisconsin for Memorial Day weekend

The program provides free transportation to prevent impaired driving

AAA will activate its "Tow to Go" program at 6 p.m. Friday ahead of Memorial Day weekend. According to a release from AAA, the Tow to Go program offers free towing for impaired drivers and their cars. When a driver calls Tow to Go, AAA dispatches a tow truck to transport the car and driver to a safe location within a 10-mile area. The service is free for everyone, even if a driver is not an AAA member. Tow to Go will be active from 6 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Tuesday. It will be available in Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, North Dakota, Tennessee and Wisconsin. It will also be available in Denver, CO; Charlotte, NC; and Fort Wayne and South Bend, IN. Tow to Go might not be available in rural areas or during severe weather. AAA has operated the Tow to Go program for more than 25 years and helped almost 30,000 impaired drivers.
