SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV)- Memorial Day weekend is upon us, and AAA is offering its services to individuals who might need a helping hand after a few drinks here in Georgia.
AAA is activating its free “Tow to Go” program for the upcoming weekend for both members and non-members to keep impaired drivers off the road.
It will run from 6 p.m. on Friday, May 24th, to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28th.
You can call to receive the services at (855) 2-TOW-2-GO or (855) 286-9246, and a tow truck will come to your location and take you and your car within a 10-mile radius.
RESULTS: Georgia general primary election
Appointments cannot be scheduled in advance to use Tow to Go, and AAA suggested that you should use the program as a last resort and to have a plan in place before going out to celebrate.
The Auto Club Group has provided the Tow to Go program for more than 25 years, removing nearly 30,000 impaired drivers from U.S. roadways.
Tow to Go may not be available in rural areas or during severe weather conditions.
