If you ever wondered how they get a wrecked car out of a creek, take a look at this informative and entertaining video posted by the guys at Bee Line towing out of Lynchburg, Virginia.

They got the call just before 11 p.m. Tuesday that a red C6 Corvette coupe had run off Cottontown Road in Forest, Virginia into a creek, where it was resting upside down in the water.

Fortunately, reports say that the driver emerged unharmed, though he probably wasn’t expecting to take a late-night swim.

Bee Line Towing posted a video on Facebook that shows them using their “rotator” equipment to safely upright the Corvette and get it back on dry land. (Get ready to hum the background song the rest of the day!)

The rotator lives up to its name by using a pair of long cables connected to an extendable boom arm mounted on the back of a truck that are run underneath the car and then flip it upright before the cables are winched up to raise the car and lower it onto the back of a trailer.

We think the guy who had to put on his waders and run the cables and pick up the assorted damaged pieces of debris and dump them in the cockpit of the Corvette – all while wading through nasty-looking water – deserves a nice bonus for hazardous pay. Corvette enthusiasts around the country definitely salute you!
