Albany man accused of attempting to rob tow company

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An Albany man was arrested and is accused of attempting to rob a local tow company in Albany. Quazar Johnson, 23, faces multiple charges.

According to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, Johnson displayed a pocketknife at an employee while trying to retrieve a key fob that belonged to a previously towed car. Deputies say he displayed the pocketknife in a threatening manner.

Charges:

Third-degree attempted robbery

Second-degree menacing

Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon

Johnson was released on appearance tickets. He’s set to appear in the City of Albany Criminal Court on April 16.
