Arrests For Assaulting A Tow Truck Driver, Assaulting A Bryan High Administrator, And Leaving The Scene Of A Crash Without Having Insurance - WTAW

A local tow truck driver preparing to drive away with a pickup that was illegally parked, he is struck in the face with a metal pole by the driver of the pickup. Then the driver of the pickup unhooks his vehicle and leaves. College Station police made an arrest April 18th from the incident that took place February third. 53 year old Alvin Griffin of College Station told a detective according to the arrest report that he struck the tow truck and not the driver. But the detective determined there was no damage to the tow truck. Griffin, who was charged with assault causing bodily injury, is out of jail after posting a $4,000 dollar bond.

Bryan police report an administrator at Bryan High School was assaulted last Friday (April 19) while breaking up a fight. A BPD spokesman says the administrator was treated for undisclosed injuries at a local medical facility. A student whose age and gender were not released by BPD was arrested for assault on a public servant.

College Station police learns a hit and run driver bought insurance 90 minutes after the collision. That was part of the CSPD arrest report of an Austin County man. 33 year old Mason Sconyers of Kenney was charged with driving with an invalid license and no insurance. Sconyers, who was booked April second from the March 21st crash, remains jailed as of April 22nd in lieu of bonds totaling $78,000 dollars. Jail records show bond was increased to $75,000 dollars on a prior Brazos County arrest for DWI with two or more prior convictions.
