dallas, Texas — A recent operation by the Dallas Police Special Investigations Division targeting individuals soliciting prostitution has resulted in 30 arrests in the Northwest Division.
On March 6, 2024, the operation not only led to the arrest of individuals looking to pay for sexual acts but also resulted in the seizure of four handguns, two vehicles, drugs, and over $70,000 in cash. The arrested individuals range in age from 19 to 64, with charges including solicitation of prostitution, unlawful carry of a weapon, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, and forgery of a financial instrument.
Among those arrested were 19-year-old Ivan Rodriguez, 36-year-old Jorge Garcia-Mendez, 49-year-old Eduardo Barrientos Aguilar, and 31-year-old Sergio Gonzalez Leon, all charged with solicitation of prostitution. 32-year-old Christopher Daniels English was arrested for a Class C offense for window tint and was found in possession of a handgun.
27-year-old Felix Brown faced multiple charges including solicitation of prostitution, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, and unlawful carry of a weapon. He also had a warrant for criminal trespass. Erik Garcia, 33, was arrested for solicitation of prostitution and had a warrant for forgery of a financial instrument.
The Dallas Police Special Investigations Division was assisted in the operation by the Northwest Prostitution Task Force and the Gang Unit. The operation showcases the continued efforts by the Dallas Police Department to combat prostitution and related crimes in the city.
