Dallas weather was marred by heavy rain showers and a flood advisory was issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) on Saturday. The warnings for Dallas and Tarrant County would continue till 6:45 pm, per local time. The weather agency's detailed forecast suggests that low-lying areas and those near streams and creeks may experience flooding.

Following the widespread showers and storms across the Northern part of the state, their coverage is expected to increase over Central Texas in the afternoon and evening. Already 2 to 3 inches of rain showers are yet to rise with another one to two inches.

Meanwhile, due to thunderstorms passing through the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex on Saturday morning, some flights at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and the Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL) were affected. The officials at the DFW and DAL issued a ground stop from 9:54 am to 11:15 am, and from 9:43 am to 11:30 am, per local time, respectively.

The weather forecast by the NWS mentioned that this afternoon about rain and possibly a thunderstorm. While temperature is expected to be stable, gusts as high as 15 to 25 mph are expected to sweep through the area. The chance of precipitation is 100 per cent and another wave of rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

The weather in the city is expected to remain in the same condition with thunderstorms, mainly before 1 am, per local time. "Low around 50. North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible," the NWS' forecast read.

By tomorrow morning ie Sunday, the weather would turn partly sunny, with a high near 65. The wind speed in the North northeast is going to come down to 10 mph, and gusts as high as 20 mph.
