Frisco Liberty and mansfield Timberview clash in the Texas (UIL) Class 5A state girls basketball championship on Saturday afternoon in a battle of Lone Star State powerhouses.

SECOND HALF
-- That's it. Frisco Liberty takes its largest lead of the game — nine — late and suffocates Timberview down the stretch to win back-to-back UIL Class 5A state championships.
-- Impressive sequence that demonstrates the talent on the floor: Jacy Abii has her pocket picked by Chrishawn Coleman, who goes the other way and has her shot rejected by Abii from behind on the fast break. Abii playing extremely poised with foul trouble all second half.

-- Mansfield Timberview is on a 2:15 scoring drought, over which Liberty has scored seven unanswered. Timberview's biggest lead was 12.
-- At a point early in the third quarter, Mansfield Timberview looked poised to pull away in the class 5A state title. But Frisco Liberty had other plans, mounting a comeback on the shoulders of Jacy Abii and Aziyah Farrier. Abii had 11 of her game-high 27 points in the third quarter.
FIRST HALF
Emilee Jones scored 12 and Chrish Coleman had 11 as Mansfield Timberview jumped out to a 29-22 halftime lead over Frisco Liberty in the Class 5A state title.
Sophomore phenom Jaci Abii had 12 points and six rebounds for the Redhawks, but picked up three first half fouls.
