CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Guardians will be well represented in Tuesday’s All-Star Game as they will send five players to arlington, Texas.
Outfielder Steven Kwan, who leads the majors in batting average, made the team as a starter.
Third baseman Jose Ramirez was named a starter for the third time in his career which includes being named an All-Star six times.
Closer Emmanuel Clase was named to his third All-Star Game after leading the AL in saves during the first half of the season.
First baseman Josh Naylor made it for the first time, being voted in by the players after leading the AL in home runs and RBIs by a first baseman in the first half.
David Fry became an All-Star for the first time as a utility man/designated hitter thanks to the players’ vote, his ability to get on base and his positional versatility.
