Obituary: Teeko Jamar Nesbitt of Arlington, Texas

Teeko Jamar Nesbitt was born October 22, 1988, to Murphy Iverson and Jeff Ray Nesbitt, Jr. in Little Rock, Arkansas. He transitioned from this life on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Medical City Hospital in dallas, Texas while awaiting a liver transplant. Teeko accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas. He attended Stuttgart Public Schools and received his GED in January of 2007. He loved music, and cooking, and he loved people.

Teeko was preceded in death by his father Jeff R. Nesbitt, Jr.; his stepmother Dianne Phillips; his great-grandmother Bertie L. Brandon; his grandmother Julia Nesbitt; and his grandfathers Manuel Iverson, Jr. and Jeff Nesbitt, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his grandmother Esther Iverson of Stuttgart, AR; his mother Murphy Iverson of arlington, TX; his daughter Zaria “ZaZa” Nesbitt and her mother Ashley Humphrey of Lancaster, TX; his sister Carla Nesbitt of Arlington, TX; two nieces Jenasis Thompkins and Camryn Willis of Arlington, TX; a special friend Carrie Knox of grand prairie, TX; his step-parents Rev. Lonnie and Pastor Debra Burton; a stepmother Deva Nesbitt; bonus brothers Travion Phillips, Quinton Williams, and David Brasfield; bonus sisters Jackie Nesbitt, Shayla Malone, Jericka Nesbitt, Lataya Williams, Tranecia Rhone, Dominique Williams, Ashley Ice, and Diamond Smith; his aunts Sandra (Van Flemming) of Pratt, KS, and Darwoner (Kelvin Baker, Sr.) of DeSoto, TX; an uncle Earl Iverson (Susan Guiot) of Wichita, KS; and also Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins from St. Louis, MO.

Teeko claimed many Children, Siblings, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Moms (you know who you are). He has a special Aunt/Uncle Gay and Carlos Baker of mansfield, TX; special Cousins Kelvin Jay Baker, Brenda Iverson, Trina Iverson, Brent Iverson, Brian Iverson, and Charles Franklin III; special friends Whitney Hill and Angela Hill; musical partners and brothers Raymond Appleberry, Lemuel (Knowledge) Velazquez, Nicolas Ray, Roderick Walker, Curtis Hill, Jr., Mack Carter, Kenny Allen, Seneca Thorton, and Michael Gamble.

The Visitation held Friday, April 12, 2024, from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Releford Funeral Home in Stuttgart Arkansas. Funeral services held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Victors’ Empowerment Center in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
