Renegades sign former Texas Tech kicker

arlington, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The UFL’s Arlington Renegades announced they had signed former Texas Tech kicker Jonathan Garibay. Garibay played for the Red Raiders from 2019-2021, earning the starting role in the 2021 season.

In his one year as the starter, Garibay went 15-for-16 in field goals and 49-for-50 in point-after attempts, being named first-team All-Big 12.

After going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft, Garibay inked a deal with the dallas Cowboys. He would later be released and signed with the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats, where he’d spend the 2023 preseason.

The Renegades face the Houston Roughnecks in the team’s next game on Sunday afternoon at Rice Stadium in Houston at 2 p.m. on FS1.
