See what to expect in the Tarrant County store

The second H-E-B in Tarrant County opens this week as part of the grocery giant’s expansion in North Texas.

A ribbon cutting will be held Tuesday, June 25, at 1:30 p.m., and then the store, which is located at 1670 Broad Street in mansfield, opens to the public Wednesday, June 26, at 6 a.m. CT.

Customers can expect to find H-E-B staples at the new store, including store-made tortillas, guacamole and bolillos, as well as fresh produce, dairy and meat. The 118,000-square-foot store has a full-service pharmacy with a drive-thru, a True Texas BBQ restaurant, a Texas Backyard department with outdoor essentials, and a Home by H-E-B decor department with furniture, woven textiles and accent pieces.

The store will also include H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery, which will allow customers to place orders online for pickup at the store or delivery to the home.

“We’re extremely excited to strengthen our commitment to the DFW Metroplex with our move into Mansfield,” Juan-Carlos Rück, H-E-B executive vice president said in a statement for the groundbreaking. “Our H-E-B locations across North Texas continue to stir up great excitement with customers, and this H-E-B store will allow us to answer the long-standing call for an H-E-B in this thriving community.”

The H-E-B Mansfield location will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. CT. The store is expected to employ about 700 Partners, H-E-B said.

H-E-B Mansfield will be the second store to open in Tarrant County. In April, a 125,000-square-foot store opened in the Alliance Town Center.

This won’t be the last H-E-B in Tarrant County. In June, the San Antonio-based company announced plans for a third store to be located in Glade Parks on the Bedford-Euless border. That store, which is expected to open in the second half of 2026, will feature a True Texas BBQ, gas station and car wash.

Elsewhere, in Collin County, H-E-B will break ground on a new store in Rockwall on Thursday, June 27. That store has a target opening date in fall 2025.

H-E-B has over 435 stores in Texas and Mexico and employs more than 160,000 people.
