A disturbance in a parking garage at the Legacy Village Apartments on Hansell Road prompted a response from Plano Police on Friday, according to a report from our media partner NBC 5.
Police say someone was heard yelling "put the gun down" before a gunshot fired.
A tow truck driver was in the process of towing a vehicle when the owner of the car and her son came out to the parking garage.
The truck driver was then hit in the head three times with a metal bar, according to a report from Plano Police.
The driver then pulled out a gun and fired a shot that lodged into a tire. No injuries were reported from the gunshot. The driver's son was the person yelling to put the gun down, according to the report.
Police say Michael Guevarra, 19, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and the tow truck driver was released.
