RANDOLPH, NJ — Police in Randolph are looking for a tow truck driver who they think crashed into a utility pole on Monday night and then fled.
The crash happened at 9:50 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Old Brookside Road and Wick Lane, police said. When they arrived, officers saw a utility pole had been snapped in half, with wires down on the roadway.
The vehicle involved is described as a dark-colored flatbed tow truck "with blue, pink, and red neon lights along the length of the bed." The truck should also have heavy damage on the front end, police said.
