VIDEO: Massive fire happening at Grand Prairie salvage yard

grand prairie, Texas — Firefighters responded to a massive fire that broke out at a North Texas salvage yard Friday, according to the Grand Prairie Police Department.

On Friday, WFAA's chopper caught images from above of the flames and smoke coming off what looks to be hundreds of cars at the salvage yard located in the 4000 block of E. Jefferson St. This is northeast of Mountain Creek Lake.

There were no injuries reported. As of 9:30 p.m., the fire department said the fire was under control and a crew will remain on scene overnight to work on hotspots.
